Practice Pipes are a unique set of bagpipes that retail at a fraction of the cost of conventional pipes, maintaining a high quality smaller sound (patent pending). This innovative new product has been created using brass drones, thereby reducing the cost by more than five times in comparison to conventional drones. There is no reduction is sound quality however, as the drones are steady and well balanced. The practice pipes are finding universal acceptance from those already involved in top level piping and tuition. Ideal Uses: 1) Practice Pipes -as the name implies- are ideal for learning and improving playing, suitable for all ages and abilities. 2) As the volume is reduced, the Practice pipes are ideal for indoor playing and for music sessions involving other instruments. 3) The playing position and blowing technique are the same as for the highland bagpipes, so every hour spent practicing relates directly to conventional bagpipe playing. 4) The opportunity to learn and play a less conventional instrument at an affordable price (the instruction book has been designed with a view for individuals to teach themselves, even with no prior musical knowledge!) |
